Jessica Shimberg, Ph.D.
Dr. Shimberg is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State who specializes in treating relationship issues, family conflict, difficulties with trust, low self-esteem, perfectionism, eating issues, and body image concerns. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University, Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. She completed her doctoral internship as well as a post-doctoral fellowship at Rutgers University’s Counseling Center. Dr. Shimberg has experience working in an array of settings, including multiple college counseling centers, a community mental health center, as well as a psychiatric research organization. Dr. Shimberg aims to create a supportive, safe, and trusting environment for each of her clients to talk through their issues, come to new understandings about themselves, and to then take action toward change and increased satisfaction in their lives.
Dana Cohen, Psy.D.
Dr. Cohen is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State who specializes in relationship and family issues, stress and anxiety, depression, eating and body image concerns, and trauma and loss. She earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University. Dr. Cohen completed her doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Rutgers University’s Counseling Center, where she helped undergraduate and graduate students address a wide range of psychological and academic concerns. She has provided therapy and psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including a community mental health center, a private practice, and multiple school systems in the Washington, D.C. region. Dr. Cohen focuses on each client’s unique goals for treatment, and by working with clients collaboratively to better understand their feelings, experiences, and relationships, she helps each person take positive steps towards their goals.
